When speaking to business owners about networking one thing that usually comes up is ‘pitching’. This also came up in an interview with Jade too.

So often business owners don’t like the idea of pitching because it feels like selling, which feels, ICKY

HOWEVER, at The Ribbons Network, the LAST thing we want you to be feeling is uncomfortable and the last thing we want you to do is to turn up to sell… so here is a reframe.

❌ PITCHING ❌

THINK OF YOUR PITCH AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE, NOT AN OPPORTUNITY TO SELL.

🎀 SHARE VALUE
🎀 SHARE KNOWLEDGE
🎀 SHARE IDEAS
🎀 SHARE LAUGHTER
🎀 SHARE HOW YOU CAN BE SUPPORTED

Sharing your business in this way will give the room the power to help you and give you the power to grow in confidence and to grow your business.

SO… HERE’S HOW TO PACK POWER INTO YOUR 30 SECONDS OF POWER

Presenting your business can often seem daunting and sticking to 30 seconds can also be challenging, so here are my tips, for you on getting the most POWER from your 30 seconds.

🤝 10 Seconds: WOW – Use a statement, question or statistic to capture the attention
🤝 10 Seconds: HOW – How is this related to your business/industry and how can you help
🤝 10 Seconds: POW – Arguably the most important part, this is where you pack the POWER. Use now to let them know what you want, your call to action.

Packing POWER into your call to action will not only make you memorable but it will also help the room help you, the more specific you can be the better!

If you now feel emPOWERed to try this and don’t yet have an opportunity to do so, please book an upcoming meeting, using the code RNGROW for £5 off.

“When I started [networking], one of the things I gained most was actually learning how to talk about my business”  HAYDAN FIRTH, LIFE COACH

On the topic of gaining power from your 30 seconds of POWER, we wanted to share this short testimonial video from Haydan in our The Ribbons Network Dorset group.
Haydan started networking with us when he started his business and he says he has gained a community, collaborations, connections and opportunities.
He most loves that it is a caring space where he can have fun and grow his business at the same time.
